Swivel Base Rod Holder The swivel base rod holder is the “Ultimate Rod Holder” for the serious sportsman. Primarily designed to be used with bent butt tackle, the rod holders unique swivel base allows the rod butt to rotate in the rod holder when side pressure is applied to the tip of the rod. There are eight models to choose from: the 30 degree angled rod holder, the 0 degree vertical rod holder, the 15 degree rod holder and, the side mount swivel. Extra long versions of these rod holders are also available. These holders are 4” longer than the standard length allowing the bent butt to sit deeper in the holder thus reducing the leverage and stress on the mounting surface.

Stainless Steel Backing Plate For the “Ultimate Installation” use our stainless steel backing plates. Designed for our swivel base and heavy flush rod holders, they’re constructed from heavy gauge type 316 stainless plate and have built in safety eyes on both sides. Available in two models, the RH5900 accommodates 0 & 15 degree rod holders in gunnels up to 1-3/4” thick. The RH5930 accommodates 30 degree rod holders in gunnels up to 1-1/2” thick. Both come complete with stainless bolts, locknuts and washers for a maximum strength installation.
